As a filmmaker I love to film, to work with sound. It's a form of art and sound. On the one hand it can be like playing a really strange game with your friends. And in the same time it can be like being a silent film. For all these reasons I was curious to see the very first documentary about sound in cinema. What I saw was one of the best and most interesting documentaries I've seen in a long time. I'm glad to see that sound has become more and more used in cinema and filmmakers as well. In this documentary the creators take a look at the sound choices that are made in movies and how that affect the movie. On the other hand they take a look at the difficulties that cinematographers have with sound and try to explain why movies sound so different in the actual theater. The filmmaking technique is different, because of the sound effects, and the production designer is different because of the sound design. But the main factor that makes sound so important in cinema is the fact that sound is the inspiration for film. Every movie is inspired by sound, because you can't go without sounds. On the whole, this film made me appreciate the importance of sound in cinema. It gave me a better understanding of the difference between what the directors want and what the cinematographer has to use. And also on the whole, this documentary helped me understand that sound is also important in filmmaking. As for the real cinema, I have never seen a film with as much good sound as this one. But I haven't seen a film with as much cinematic beauty as this one. It makes me wish that cinematographers would take a look at this one. Even more, it makes me think that sound will not be the only element that will define a good film. On the whole, this documentary is the best documentary that I've seen for a long time. I suggest everyone to see it.

I've read many of the comments posted on this website for "Movies in the Dark" and so I thought I'd write my own since I think it's one of the most valuable things to read. I read that before I saw it, I knew the content would be something different than what I expected and so I had trouble understanding a lot of the film. However, I didn't read much about this film beforehand, just some of the reviews which I had seen. I read the comments in depth and now I have a very different perspective on the film. The very first thing that strikes you is the very different lighting which creates the mood and tone of the film. Without this lighting, it would not have been as powerful. So, the first thing that struck me was the realism of the lighting. I don't know about any other film but, that is a big no-no for me. I want to see scenes with realistic lighting, because I like to imagine what a situation would be like, instead of just seeing it. The story is very simple, but is told in a way that makes the film more engaging. The story of this film is a bit different than the other movies, because it doesn't follow the typical formula. I think that there are very few movies like this. The last thing I would add is that this film is so different to anything I've ever seen that it was a major surprise to me. I couldn't help thinking, "Man, I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. Wow." Overall, I thought that this film was very good. I would definitely recommend this film to others. I hope that there is another film like it and that it is successful. I think it is a great way to start off a new era of film.
