Description There are 4,000 film festivals around the world. Where would you go if your film was turned down by 3,999 of them?. What happens when an obscure film festival is the last hope for a failing producer and his disaster of a movie? When the artifice and ruthlessness of Hollywood collides with the homespun innocence of small town America, neither will ever be the same.

It is rare to get the opportunity to watch a live performance of a movie you are involved in. Yet when I went to see 'The Last Film Festival' at the New York Film Festival, I was not disappointed. This is the story of a film festival that is so deeply interwoven with its own history that the audience is drawn in like never before. The performances are outstanding and the audience is treated to an intimate look at a talented, talented crew. The film-making techniques are so unique and polished, so perfectly in sync with the voices and body language of the actors, that the audience feels like they are right there in the heart of the film. This is not a commercial film, and that is what makes it so special. As the film unfolds, the audience is so engrossed, they forget they are watching a film, and are already living in a world they have never seen. It is a film that is free from over the top performances, and has the audience really in the moment. And in that, it excels. I was very impressed with the cast, the performance of the camera, and the use of sound and music. This film is not for everyone. There is a lot of content in this film, and it is not for everyone. But if you are in the mood for an experience that is in keeping with your sensibilities, and you are in the mood to see a film that is unlike anything you have ever seen before, this is the film for you. I look forward to the next film I can see at the New York Film Festival. I look forward to seeing 'The Last Film Festival' again. I look forward to hearing more about the film and its creative process.
