La corazon del rey: La historia of Montmartre, by Almodovar (or perhaps the next Director of the Gangster's Daughter or the Jockey), is an essay of ideas on culture, existence, and the concept of duty. The film is based on the life of its writer/director Almodovar, who in his younger days made the award winning movies, The Mona Lisa, La carne del corazon, and (of course) the classic, La hara. His name is a powerful one in Spain, but in truth, it's a pretty meaningless one. Like most Spaniards, Almodovar has been marked by his family, friends, and even his work. Almodovar is married to Maria Susana (the actress, in fact, who appears in the beginning of the movie) and has two children. His wife has not been very fond of his work, and feels that it is a hobby, and that Almodovar has not lived up to her expectations. Almodovar feels that he has not lived up to his own standards, and is convinced that he should, or should not have. Maria Susana feels that Almodovar has always been on the same wavelength, and that he has failed to live up to his expectations. When Almodovar gets an assignment to write a biography of his family, he takes it very seriously. At the same time, however, he is beginning to see his writing life as a waste of time. He has not been able to get any of his ideas in his books. The title of the movie is the first question that comes to mind. What is the life of the family that Almodovar has written about? Is it that of the family that he lives in the past, or is it that of the family that he lives in the future? The concept of duty plays a big role in Almodovar's life, and the manner in which he gets it is part of the challenge of the movie. The film has two separate stories, but in order to make the theme work, Almodovar must have written about the life of his mother and father, who are mentioned only in passing, and the other two stories that he has written are for his first wife and his second wife, and these are the ones that the movie is based on. However, there is a third story that Almodovar has written about, and this is a metaphor for his second marriage. The first thing that Almodovar did after he and Maria Susana broke up was to write a biography of his first wife, who he met at the time he was in court. As with his second marriage, the story is about the events that took place in the life of this woman, and also about her second marriage. This story, however, is only hinted at. The biography Almodovar has written of his second wife is something that he does not talk about, but he does talk about it. In the end, the movie has some really powerful scenes, including the scene where Almodovar sits in a café and talks about his
