I remember the first time I saw this movie, when I was 7 years old, and I could not believe what I was seeing. "The Nightingale" is an American film that is set in Canada and has a cast of English-speaking actors who were recruited by a Canadian director to play a Canadian-American romance. The film has a lot of eye-candy for the boys (not necessarily of the opposite gender) and its storyline is quite interesting. The story is about a 10-year-old boy who wants to be a songwriter and gets involved with a bunch of other boys who are also interested in music. The best scene is when they are all at the concert and the boy gives a rousing speech about the virtues of music and his desire to become a musician. The movie is filmed in a very colorful style that is very reminiscent of the time period and its location. The camera is always rolling and you never know where the movie is going to take you. The movie's soundtrack is a very good mixture of Canadian and American songs, including "The Nightingale", "He's In Love", "Happily Ever After", "That Girl" and "Only You" and there are some good scenes in this movie that are not all serious. The movie has many memorable scenes, including a great dance scene in the hospital, a scene where the main character is looking for his mother, a scene where the boy is looking for the dog that died while he was on a trip with his mother and a great scene where he is falling in love with his girlfriend's cousin and he also tries to kill her. The acting is excellent throughout the entire movie and you can really see that the cast of the film had fun playing the roles. The movie has a very good ending that is worth the price of the rental. The movie is not only a romantic comedy but also a good political thriller as well. The movie has a good storyline, good acting and some very memorable scenes. It is recommended to watch this movie at least once.
