I was fortunate enough to attend a screening of Psycho-Pass last night, and while I am still not sure what to make of it, I can say that the movie was absolutely great. I was never really sure what to expect, as the preview and other previews I've seen had me at the edge of my seat, and the movie itself was incredibly different from the source material. But as I sat down and watched the movie, I realized that this was an absolutely amazing adaptation of the manga. From the opening credits, I could feel the immense amount of effort and passion that went into this movie. From the very beginning, the movie takes place in the present day, with the exception of the main character, who's back in the past. This is done to make the movie feel more realistic and true to the manga, and I think it works very well. The story is told in a way that allows the audience to relate to the characters and to feel their emotions. While there are many aspects of the movie that I personally didn't like, I can say that I definitely enjoyed the entire thing. The acting is superb, the action scenes are incredibly intense, and the visuals are stunning. I have to say that I am really looking forward to the next movie in this franchise, and I hope that they do not disappoint. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of the manga or has an interest in the genre. I definitely recommend that you go see this movie, and if you don't see it, then you should go see it when it comes out in theaters.
