I have been a fan of Sam Rockwell's work since his first starring role in the underrated 'The Truman Show' a few years ago. Since then, I have been a big fan of his work and he is in my opinion the best actor working today. It was with this in mind that I was excited to see this movie when it came out. While the plot was a little different, I thought it was a great way to introduce Sam to a new audience and I was very pleased with the end result. Sam Rockwell plays an agent of the FBI with the code name, 'Agent 47', who is called out of retirement by the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, James Cameron, to help bring down the head of the Colombian drug cartels, Pablo Escobar. His mission is simple, get Pablo to testify in front of the United Nations that Escobar is responsible for the deaths of over 5,000 innocent people. He will need help, however, from a number of people including his estranged wife, a beautiful but bitter ex-girlfriend and an American agent, who has been following the story of Agent 47 since he was a child. The film is set in a world where the rule of law and the rule of man is an absolute non-issue. The film is very violent, and contains some of the most gruesome scenes you will ever see. It is also extremely violent, with many of the scenes featuring violence against women. The characters in the movie are all very well developed, and the chemistry between Sam and his wife is very believable. The film is a little long, but that is to be expected. I also enjoyed the fact that Sam Rockwell was not the main character. I also found the ending to be very emotional, and I found it to be one of the best endings I have seen in a movie in a very long time. Overall, I thought this movie was a great way to introduce Sam Rockwell to a new audience. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of Sam Rockwell, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 8/10
