I have never seen a documentary film about Eugene Victor Debs, but I don't think I ever will. This is the only documentary I've seen about the socialist presidential candidate, and it's excellent. It tells the story of how Debs gained his followers and how he ran his campaign. It also takes us back to his early life and how he grew up as a poor, illiterate farm boy. The documentary looks at the various stages of his career, from his early days as an activist, to his first political campaign, to his marriage and death. It also gives a great view of the late 50's and early 60's, when he was the most popular politician in the country. It also gives a look at the civil rights movement, and how it came to be. It also looks at the origins of the modern Democratic Party, and how it came to be. Overall, this is an excellent film about a great man and his life and the most interesting part of the documentary is how it was made. There are wonderful interviews, and wonderful footage of the era in which Debs lived. The film also looks at the problems that the country had in the 1960's, the Vietnam war, and the student movement. This is a very good documentary, and I would recommend it to anyone. This is the only documentary I've ever seen that tells the story of Eugene Victor Debs.

This documentary, which was produced by the American Youth Union, and directed by Arthur Hillman, is based on the book "American Socialist: The Life and Times of Eugene Victor Debs." It is essentially an attempt to understand the life of Eugene Victor Debs, who was a founding member of the Socialist Party of America, and the struggle he faced in the 1930s. The documentary is extremely well made, and at times quite riveting. The interviews, from those who knew Debs to those who didn't, are remarkable, and show the complexities of this complex man. The documentary is far from flawless, however, and in parts the film seems to be a little too documentary style. There are many scenes which feel out of place, and some of the interviews, especially those with Harry Bridges, who worked with Debs and went to prison for his part in the "Freedom Rides" events in the mid-1930s, seem almost tacked on. There are also a few scenes which are a bit too much, such as the section on the "Freedom Rides," which was so poorly put together that it almost feels like a forgery. There are also some moments where Hillman seems to be trying to make this a documentary film, which is not a good sign. The film is informative, but not as sharp as it should be. It is, however, still a good watch, and one of the best documentaries I have seen.

A rather lengthy documentary about Eugene Victor Debs, but if you're looking for an interview with him, you won't find one here. However, if you're a Debs fan, you should be able to appreciate this documentary. Debs was a political activist and worker during the depression, and he was a member of the Communist Party. He was a self-made millionaire and his contributions to the people's movement were well known. Here, we see Debs talk about the party, his membership, his life, his labor union, and his views on labor unions. We also see footage from his rallies, which were huge. The interview is great, and the documentary is well worth watching.

I came across this film when I was browsing through the black and white DVD's of all of the old documentaries from the 1970's. It was one of those documentaries that the disc company had not bothered to put in their catalog. So I thought I would give it a shot. What I got was a collection of interviews with Debs, his wife Eleanor, and his associates, as well as interviews with some of the people who were close to him, his wife, and his associates. There are also interviews with some of his associates who were friends with him and who were also involved with the campaign. All of this, of course, was documented, and the film was very interesting. But this is a story about Debs and his group, not just a story about the political campaign. All of the interviews are very interesting, but some are so well done and so interesting that it is difficult to find any fault with the film. This is a movie about a man who was a leader of the workers, and a leader of the working people. He was a great guy. But he was also a flawed man. He was an authoritarian. He was also a manipulator, and he was also a misogynist. I found this documentary very interesting, and I recommend it. 8/10

When I saw this movie I thought it was a great story of one man's struggle to make his voice heard. I have never seen a movie that has done this so well. I love this film because it is one of the few that has brought out the best in each of the actors. I can not say enough about how great this film is. It is probably the most important film of the 1990's. It is a must see for all those that have ever been involved in the political struggle.

I did not really want to see this documentary because I thought it was going to be "another one of those political documentaries" or "another one of those political films". Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. It was beautifully filmed and well-written. The only "thing" that was lacking was the political side of the film. It had a good message, but I feel that it could have used a little more political commentary. I also felt that there were some moments where the political issues were not very well explained. However, that was not the film's fault. As a general rule, I think that documentaries should not have a "message". If you want to watch a documentary that does, I would recommend one of the ones that has a good political message (e.g. "Taking it to the Streets").

This documentary is excellent. The cast of the film is a great cast. The documentaries about Eugene and the movement that he started is awesome. This is a must see documentary and it should be on the PBS channel. The documentary is well done, well shot and well acted. It really is a great documentary. The documentary is well worth the watch.

This is a well made documentary that gives us a look at a man who was one of the leaders of the radical socialist movement of the late 20th century. Debs, a socialist who was not a liberal, was a politician who had a very different point of view from the one held by most of his fellow citizens. His political views and philosophies are well discussed, and his place in history is well covered. This documentary is a must-see for any student of history, and a good overview of the life and times of Eugene Victor Debs.

I have been a political activist for over 30 years, but never before had I seen a documentary that was so well done. I know that documentaries can be frustrating at times, but this documentary gave me the information I needed to understand what the people were doing to combat the class system in America. I especially liked the way that the filmmakers showed the power of the right wing to manipulate the public. The images were very realistic, especially when the film was interrupted by news that is inaccurate. The only negative thing that I could say about this film is that the filming was a little slow at times. I don't think it was a movie I would go see again, but I am glad I did because it definitely gives people a better understanding of the importance of fighting for a better future.

I never knew Eugene Victor Debs as a person until I saw this movie. He was a socialist who opposed the war in Vietnam and the racism in the U.S. This movie is very interesting. He did all he could to get the money for the WPA. He was also arrested at a rally for his views and he was tried as a Socialist. He was sentenced to three years in prison, but he got a reprieve because of the President's pardon. He was released in 1974. This movie is very interesting and worth seeing.

The greatest political cartoonist of the twentieth century, Eugene Debs, and his most famous slogan, "You can't vote for somebody else. You have to vote for yourself," went to jail for several years in the early 1940s. In his book "The Voice of the People," he wrote, "I have to be honest with you. I did not know that this thing called voting was illegal in the United States. I could not have known it if it had not been for the work of one of my best friends, my old comrade, George Meany, a hard-bitten Socialist, who lived in the United States during World War I and who sent me a copy of the secret government document that I read the other day in the House of Representatives, in which it was made clear that I was not permitted to vote on any bills that had not been approved by the Senate. Well, I didn't know then what I knew now. What I know now is that you can't vote for somebody else. You have to vote for yourself. You have to go to the ballot box, to the voting place, to say, "I want to vote for myself." And you will have to go to jail, but only for a few hours. And then you will be released. And then you will be able to vote again."

A documentary that tells the life of Eugene Victor Debs and his role in the Socialist Party of the United States of America. It's a powerful and compelling story of a man who was considered a left wing extremist and had even been banned from the party. The documentary focuses on his life as a revolutionary. It covers the highs and lows of his life as a political activist and how he was treated by the party he helped found. There is a lot of great material on the other members of the party, who he met and what they were like. He also met people who helped shape his views and ideas. It's fascinating to hear the stories of what the party did in the early 1900's. It's also interesting to hear about how he became a political activist, how he dealt with his differences with the party and how he was ultimately defeated in the 1912 election. Overall, the documentary is very good. It covers a lot of important events in the life of Eugene Victor Debs and how his political views were shaped. It is very informative and a must-see.

I've been studying Mr. Debs for years, and this film is a great example of his work. The film is very very detailed, showing the full process of his life. A lot of information is given about his life, and his relationships, his activism and the results of his activism. The documentary doesn't gloss over what he did for the causes, and it shows his determination to get involved, even when it was considered an act of cowardice. It is a great documentary, and a good starting point for anyone interested in politics and/or activism.

I have seen many documentaries about Eugene Victor Debs, and this is the best I have seen yet. It was interesting to hear about the difficulties he faced when he tried to get the Socialist Party to get into the Democratic Party. The documentary was interesting to learn about the effort to get him into the party, and the difficulty of getting him elected. He was successful in getting the party to endorse his run, and the party was split over whether to endorse him. The documentary had many interesting interviews with many of the people involved in the campaign. It also showed some of the many ads that were made for him, and how they were perceived by his opponents. The documentary had a very well written script, and it was interesting to hear from Eugene Victor Debs. It was also interesting to see how he was portrayed in the press. The documentary was interesting to see how his supporters and opponents perceived him, and the events that happened during his campaign. This was a very good documentary, and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the life and times of Eugene Victor Debs.

I thought the film was excellent. I was skeptical of the film, and I was impressed with the acting. The film really showed the personalities of the people involved in the movement, their struggles, and the trials and tribulations of life for them. The movie also showed the battles in the U.S. Supreme Court and the courtroom that they had to fight for their freedom. The film really helped people see the good and the bad of the movement, and it also showed the people involved in the movement as people, and not as some of the stereotypical stereotypes that they are. The film is a very accurate portrayal of what the people did, and it is an excellent movie for those interested in the movement. It also has a lot of political information that people would like to know about. I would highly recommend the film to anyone who is interested in the movement, or anyone who is willing to learn more about it.

There is a "found footage" style of the documentary that I have not seen before. It is more like a documentary style of film. Some of the shots are very long and the editing is very fast. However, the documentary style of this film is very unique. The documentary style makes the viewer feel as if they are actually in the room with the activists and activists' families. The acting is very well done and I found myself caring about the people who were featured in the documentary. The documentary style of the film is very well done and it is a great way to view this issue.

In my opinion, there is not enough emphasis on Eugene Victor Debs' ideas and life. It is interesting, but perhaps there is something missing. I had seen this movie several times before but never really knew how to get into it. This movie seemed to have the right tone for me. I was not impressed with the documentary format but the director had a good understanding of the history of the movement. The movie was not trying to take sides and it did not try to explain Eugene's political views. Rather it presented Eugene's ideas in a way that would encourage discussion and debate. Overall, I liked this movie. I would recommend it to anyone interested in politics and Eugene Debs.

This is a well-done documentary about the man who was the "most eloquent man in American history" in 1881 and the "most prolific and prolific pamphleteer" in the 20th century. The film has an excellent narrative structure, in which we follow Debs through his life and his life-long struggle to change the system. He is shown in different settings, with each setting having different points of view. The documentary has the look of a documentary, but it is also very much a character study, showing how much Debs was like a character on the page. The main character is also very well-drawn, with a great performance by Eugene Genovese (as Eugene Debs). The film also includes an interview with Debs's wife, Vera, and with his daughter, Victoria. This is a very entertaining film, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a passion for American history.

I enjoyed this film. I think it was worth watching. I was actually shocked that the film was only made because it was by the man himself. A man that I admired as a young man. I was surprised that it was about Eugene, not the other way around. It was a very interesting look at how he started his life and how he fought for what he believed in. I think he deserves credit for his ideas and his methods. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes documentaries about movements for social justice.

The movie is based on a book by Donald Kagan. It was written for the purpose of documentary, but also for the purpose of social commentary. That's why it is a documentary, not a feature length film. The documentary is very well done. The best part is when the discussion moves to the other leaders in the movement, who are more than just people who stood for a cause. They are people who lived their lives and helped to make a difference. The movie doesn't give them a voice. That is not the point of the documentary. The point is to tell their story, and to show how they lived their lives. The movie is full of great pictures and videos of their activities, as well as interviews with them and other people who were involved in their movement. The movie is very entertaining and entertaining at the same time. For me, the most interesting thing about the movie is that it shows us the different points of view that different people had of what they were doing. Sometimes people seemed to be against them, and other times they were cheering for them. That's why I like the movie. It's not like a documentary that tells you what to think. It's more like a conversation. If you like movies that show us the lives of different people, this movie is for you. I gave this movie a 8. It is very good. You will be surprised how much you will enjoy this movie.

I saw this documentary on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Young People's Socialist League. It was very interesting and quite moving, in my opinion. It was an excellent look at the life and times of Eugene Victor Debs and his involvement in the labor movement. I would have preferred it if they had included his personal life, but as it was, it was mostly just about Debs and his work. There were a few, brief, interviews with family members and friends of Eugene Debs and some other people, but the majority of the film was dedicated to the labor movement and the working class in general. This is definitely one of the better documentaries on the topic. It is certainly well worth seeing.
