Last year, the super-hero genre became the poster child for the new wave of film-making in Hollywood. Its success has been mostly limited to live-action, in which it was utilized for commercial reasons. However, superhero films are increasingly becoming mainstream for the first time in years, thanks to blockbuster blockbusters like "X-Men: The Last Stand", "Batman Begins" and "Spiderman 2". "Shazam!" was a superhero film that didn't require the audience to think too much. It was a fun action-adventure movie about the origin of the most-popular superhero of all time. The movie uses a number of the original songs from the animated series of the 1940s and 1950s to create a nostalgia-inducing atmosphere. The idea of the film is that it follows the live-action superhero, Shazam, and his quest to destroy a giant stone that stands in the way of saving Earth. The director was Kevin Tsujihara, who also created the "Spiderman" trilogy, "300" and "The Matrix". The musical numbers were composed by Justin Paul and Richard Salkind. Although the film did not exactly live up to the expectations I had when I watched it, it was still enjoyable. The film had a strong enough story that kept the interest of the audience throughout. The use of traditional songs could have worked better, however. The songs did not really enhance the action or give it a feel of the 1940s, which would have been an improvement, although they were still good. The film's villain, Dr. Curt Connors, was much stronger than the original Dr. Curt Connors, played by William Katt, from the original 1940s TV series. This version of Dr. Curt Connors had some rather powerful moments and was able to carry the film quite well. Overall, "Shazam!" was a fun film that has a great cast and a great villain. It may be compared to the 2010 film, "The Incredible Hulk", however, "Shazam!" was better in all areas. * out of *

I saw this movie when it came out and I loved it. My brother and I have been following Shazam since it's initial release. I was excited when I saw the trailer for the movie and I knew I had to see it. Now that I have seen it, I really do not think I should have. The movie is not what I was expecting, it was actually very good. The reason I say this is because it is not a superhero movie, it is not a movie about getting into and out of trouble with the law or even superpowers. This movie is about a kid from a poor neighborhood who accidentally finds and discovers his powers and tries to find his way. The story itself is not that great, but it's still pretty cool and it is filled with action. The acting is not very good, but I can't say it is as bad as the other reviews would have you believe. In my opinion, the worst part about this movie is the production. This movie could have been a whole lot better and it's not. The costumes and effects are really nice and the CGI and special effects are good, but the story itself was really weak. Also, the music is pretty bad in this movie, but that is not the reason that I don't like the movie. In this movie, you have to be really careful because it is really weird and it is also really hard to make out what is going on. The special effects are really good and it is not just CGI. This movie is filled with jokes and fun, but I don't really know how to explain it. The reason I think this movie is better than the other superhero movies is because this one is not a superhero movie and it's not about trying to save the world. This movie is not about saving the world, but about the boy and his problems and trying to find his way in life. I would say this is a good movie, but there are better movies out there. I will have to see the other superhero movies and compare them.
