I really liked this film. I saw it on a whim at the cinema in my home town of Orléans, Quebec. I was pleased by the story, the action, the performances and the sound. I was expecting a great deal, and I think I got it. To start with, the story and the cast are very well done, as always. The humour, the family aspect, the loyalty, the love, all come together to make a very satisfying film. I found this film to be very heart warming and heartfelt, and it was also very interesting. The acting was great, with the exception of the children, who I thought were over-acted, and felt somewhat cliche. I don't think I could have been more impressed with their performances. However, this was not to say that the children were not in their element. Each of them, regardless of age, was great in their role, and the chemistry between them made them feel very real. For example, when one of the children is at the beginning of the film, he is always at the edge of his seat, but when he gets his first real love in the film, he is totally out of it. He goes from a loving husband and father, to a crazy loving father and son. The love was real and he was able to express it. I thought the film's ending was also very good, and it ended with a great little flourish. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, but it was very good, and very well done. I'm glad I saw this film. I'm going to see it again, and I am very glad I did. If you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend it.

This is the first film I have ever watched, and it is worth watching. It is based on a book I read recently about a young woman who went through a very difficult life, during the French Revolution. She was 18, in 1799, when her mother was taken prisoner and sent to a convent where she was forced to read all of the books in the library, and study all the religious texts, including the Bible, as well. She was forced to live in this cloister, and had no access to the outside world. She was given the name Esther, and was told to memorize the entire Bible. During this time, she also had to study the life of Jesus, in hopes that she would become a better person, and Jesus would see her as a person worthy of his love. The film focuses on the events of the 1799 rebellion, and the church that tried to teach her the same things, and the relationship of the two. The movie also covers the story of the two Esthers, and how she grew up in this cloister. She has a very difficult life, and has had to learn to live with fear and self-loathing, which is why she is so dedicated to learning. Throughout the film, she is shown praying for her life, and each day, she is on a daily basis. She reads the bible at night, and during her free time, she studies the Bible. She learns to read from the inside, instead of the outside, and she tries to make her own Bible, and study from it. She learns a lot from Jesus, in both good and bad ways. I would recommend this film to anyone who is interested in the subject of religion.
