Description 'Bharat' is a journey of a man and a nation together. At the cusp of India's birth as an independent nation, a family makes an arduous journey to freedom. However, this freedom comes at a cost. An eight-year-old boy, Bharat, makes a promise to his father that he will keep his family together no matter what--a promise that he keeps over the next 60 years of his life, despite each decade throwing a new set of challenges at him--some humorous, some thrilling, some romantic, and some life-threatening. His resilience, loyalty and a never dying spirit mirror the fundamental qualities of our nation--Bharat. Interestingly, the movie is an official adaptation of Korean film 'An Ode to My Father (2014), which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man.

On the face of it, Rajnikanth's epic Ramayana is a comic-relief movie. And that's what it's trying to be. It does deliver a few funny lines. It tries to be a comedy. But it's also a drama. The movie feels like it was made in a rush and in the last few minutes the movie completely unravels. For example, the film's whole final half hour seems to be a hastily sketched parody of the events that transpire in the movie. One should be aware of the fact that the final half hour is a pre-cursor to the rest of the movie. Hence, this film has all the hallmarks of an amateur production. Some of the directors who worked on the film include Raja Goswami, K.R.Sivan and Rohit Shetty. One should not necessarily like or even like this movie. The movie is neither the greatest in any sense, nor is it even a classic. It is just a typical Bollywood movie that tries to make a statement. Some of the characters in the film are only there to portray stereotypes and to inflate their respective filmography. Such as Pancho's father. The character he plays here is completely unbelievable and neither funny nor realistic. The movie is supposed to be about Ramayana, but it is only about the characters. Not about the story or the epic. Some of the characters, especially those that were written for comedic purposes, are quite unimpressive. Some of the dialogues are quite funny. Raja Goswami's narration is very funny. The movie's visuals are colourful. One should not be expected to be impressed by the visuals, but one should certainly watch the movie for its charm and entertainment value. The movie is an alright film but the directors, the actors and the crew had to sacrifice some of their efforts for the sake of making the movie a better piece of work. A lot of people here are saying that they don't like this movie because it's a bad copy of the movie they like. But if you know anything about how they copy movies, you will find that a lot of these movies are very good. And even those movies that are terrible, they are not copycats of the movie they are copying. It is a case of adaptation versus creation. The makers of this movie were indeed trying to create a better movie. But, they failed to do it because they did not care to create a better movie. They simply copied what they liked. The movie's biggest sin is not its weak elements, but its weak elements themselves. They are not as important as what the movie was trying to be. This movie is simply a mediocre movie. A mediocre movie. But, for the time being, it is still watchable. Go for the movie and watch it for the sake of entertainment value. There are a lot of other movies out there that are just as good as this one. Go for them and enjoy. But, if you are a fan of Rajnikanth and are looking for a good entertainment value, don't bother watching this movie.
